چکیده
Eleven common bean (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) varieties that were released in Ethiopia from 1998 to 2014 evaluated as medium seeded food type varieties. The objectives of this study to: (1) estimate the genetic progress made 16 years breeding Ethiopia; (2) assess changes associated traits improvement and (3) reaction anthracnose [Clletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc. & Magnus) Briosi Cavara]. was conducted at two locations, Bako Gute during 2014/2015 cropping season a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Days 50% flowering (DF), 90% maturity (DM), Grain filling period (GFP), Hundred Seed weight (HSW), Biomass yield (BMY), per plot (GY), Harvest index (HI), production rate (kg/ha/day), growth day (kg/ha/day) Anthracnose (1-9) scale data collected on basis Plant height, Number pods plant, seeds pod, plant grain data’s basis. Combined analysis variance showed highly significant differences among between test environments for hundred seed weight. variety by location (VXL) interaction biomass yield, harvest index, days flowering, period, rate. Environmental effects on yield and agronomic traits of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Common bean (Phaseolus vulgar is L.) demand is increasing with an alarming rate around the world, especially in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Therefore, increased bean yield per hectare i.s the best way to meet the world demand rather than expansion of area under cultivation. The objectives of this experiment were to determine the genotypic variations for green bean and dry seed yield and ma...

Effect of Irrigation Regimes on Yield, Yield Components and Seed Quality of Different Pinto Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) Genotypes
Identification of drought-resistant genotypes is crucial in order to reduce the negative effects of drought, as one of the most important limiting factors of crop production in arid and semiarid regions. Thus, effects of three irrigation regimes (irrigation after 50 (I1), 100 (I2) and 150 (I3) mm evaporation from a class A pan), as the main plot were investigated. These effects were studied on ...
